Archer, Engineer, Nerd, Wolverine - It’s like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy without the international espionage…so nothing like that really
My exact immediate thought.

I will add that because my mom grew up as the oldest of three sisters she has been the primary lawn maintainer for most of her life.

She taught me about striping and she would definitely prefer a walk-behind, so women can be good midwestern men too.

Now imagining a Yearbook style classification of Christmas Songs:

- Most Likely to Ruin Your Day: Wonderful Christmastime

- Most Likely to Cause an annoying family debate/argument: Baby It’s Cold Outside

Had a programming professor, when I was a sophomore, sincerely ask why I didn’t just write my own compiler to work around a bug I stumbled on with the Visual Studio compiler. He then proceeded to try and teach me how to design a compiler.

And for the record, I don’t think AI should replace graphic designers. I wouldn’t ask a trained graphic designer to do this kind of change either. It’s not for marketing materials, it’s just for internal sharing and the requester wanted it to appear clearer in her presentation material.

The map visualization tool we use is coming out with AI agents that could handle that kind of request.

I love that because A) it’s innocuous & B) My highly trained team of geospatial and software engineers has better things to do with their time than making lines more purple

I have seen a handful of good potential uses in my line of work.

I work on what are called “geospatial databases” or maps to support automotive use cases. We visualize that data and occasionally get a request to tweak the appearance (we were literally asked to make lines ‘’more purple”)
