Love this.

I started designing a TOS “Runabout” recently and this is about the scale I’m working with.

Fans need more storytelling aboard smaller ships.

A see-through fireplace would be nice here too.

I love FLW designs. The Gordon House at The Oregon Garden is a fun visit

Star Trek TOS maintained a nice balance of future & past.

Amidst the red food cubes also familiar things like sandwiches.
Similarily, Saurian brandy but also red wine.

There’s a timeless Shakespeare quality to much of the TOS storytelling. I’m seeking to embody that “feel” in my fan-fiction WIP.

Thank you for your leadership.

It’s a cool effect for sure! The lensing of space around the vessel is very distinctive.

Speaking of different views of ships at warp…I enjoy the visual and sound production of this brief sequence of a shuttle approaching Talos IV especially when the illusion is broken.

See you “Out There!”

These are great! I’ve always enjoyed technical schematics for both the efficient display of information and equally for the illustrative artwork.

I’ve not yet made a proper data & ortho view document of my Sparrow class starship but I’m planning one that will honour the Franz Joseph style.

I’m enjoying the range of your designs from large starships to smaller shuttlecraft.

These smaller ships have extra interest for me.

On TOS we rarely saw smaller ships with any detail (other than Class J?). I always wondered what smaller, mid-sized ships & civilian space vessels might look like.

The only thing these folks seem to care about is $$$.

To that end I hope lots of counter-suits are brought.

Fascinating!

All those jokes about “boldly going” etc starting to make sense!

In my mind it’s probably a specialised turbo-lift; maybe only a couple passengers at a time?

Only one…
if it employs the Holdo Maneuver.

It appears there are inhabitable levels within the pylons so probably a turbo-lift shaft and Jefferies Tubes (ladders) too.

Did Citizens United play a role?

You’re welcome!

I’m happy we remain friends thirty-something years later.
