I'd like to talk about how this image can be used in a misleading way.
So because 94% of murders are trans women, this is the statistic most often used by rich white trans women to justify talking over people
But actually the 80% POC & 94% trans women OVERLAP. They're not seperate pools. ⬇️

There's an amazing film that has just come out called Layla by Amrou Al Khadi
And it is a MUST WATCH
One of the things I love about it is the cast has multiple queer POC of different racial backgrounds.

16 years later, I watched this scene again and I cried. I cried a lot.
I felt the punch through time of the words written by fellow trans women, knowing the weight of being persecuted for who you are by a fascist government.
