thanksgiving at my aunt’s place upstate was nice :) it was the first thanksgiving since my grandma died, we’d normally have it at her house… she was missed of course but it’s good to be making new traditions and moving forward

not sure how i feel about this development with yuki yet... i'm definitely glad that yuki is realizing her feelings for nanase, but the toxic jealous manipulator backstory feels at odds with how she's been presented so far in a way that doesn't quite gel. it's interesting at least

but nanase did explain herself: she refuses to lose. nanase should have just broken up with yuni, but she instead started trying even harder to romance her, because this is how she beats fuuko, who she fucking hates. she doesn't notice yuni's feelings because this isn't really about yuni at all.

i think it's really interesting that nanase doesn't seem to notice (or care?) that yuni doesn't say i love you back. for a while now her staying with yuni has felt weird, especially since yuni's jealous tantrum which nanase seemed so done with, only to act like nothing happened after

of course i say near-perfect, because of this great little note of discord. yuni finally tells nanase about her family, talking about how she handles the cooking for her mom, and nanase praises her, but in a way that yuni can't help feeling frames her mom like a burden yuni's had to carry.
