I previously found that subtype of four astrocyte-like regulate organismal ER stress resistance and longevity.

However, the signal and full extent of the cell non-autonomous response remained unknown.

· Mice with maternally inherited hGFAP-creERT2 exhibited no Cre-mediated recombination
· Recombination was robust in mice with paternally inherited hGFAP-creERT2
· Inheritance effect is NOT transgenerational
· Suppression of recombination was observed independent of colony.
