Box tree moth catchers: using pheromones to attract the male moths: two vials used per trap. Needing to take some action against these invasive pests. The liquid is water & dishwasher soap. Was quite shocked to see so many! #boxtreemoths #rhs

Last year was the first time I found a Box tree moth here. Didn’t think it would proliferate. But when I returned from a stay in hospital,I was shocked to find that the caterpillars have destroyed some Shrubs completely and attacked many others. #boxtreemoth

Meanwhile in the wild garden area. I made the decision to have some mown areas down here. All is growing well. Not as many Ox-eye daisies this year: a deliberate decision as I noticed that the the Trefoils and other flowers are what the bees visit more.Hoping to to spend a bit more down here.
