I'm thinking foremost about their current respective approaches/affordances wrt algorithmic content curation (quite pro v. largely against - to generalise a bit)

Personally I think as we move away from centralised platforms, we need to really zero in on questions of integrity/safety. Some kind of coordination and shared infrastructure, potentially across protocols, potentially supported with public money, might be necessary.

We're trying to approach this with some degree of protocol agnosticism. My sense is that atproto and AP are geared towards different (valid) ideas for what it means to exist online.
Our broader diagnosis focuses on moving away from adtech based models, and the infrastructure we might need for that.
