The situation in Ukraine is an independent state being invaded and occupied by an imperialist neighbour, and helping them is the right thing to do. Regardless of what the organization helping might have done in the past, Ukraine certainly did not do anything to be undeserving of help.

1 -- but with some way to figure out the maximum available with viewport sizes that the device can be extended to, imagining web apps being able to use the maximum to prompt users to unfold their device for more info (stock chart apps prompting to expand for more data for example)

I don't know if there's anything anybody can do, somebody (either taxpayers or insurers) is going to be spending massive amounts of money every year to repair houses in areas that we know will keep having more and more destructive weather events. It's pouring resources into a bottomless pit.

Also unlike other programs / agencies where approval is wildly different between democrats and republicans (FBI, CDC, etc.), medicaid is super popular among both parties. Lots of indications that healthcare reform / medicare for all is absolutely a winning issue (but obv very hard to make happen)

The takeaway shouldn’t be "people don’t want the system to change" because nearly half of sick people on private insurance (ESI/marketplace) think it’s bad, compared to only 1/5th for government run

Just want to point out that in the very same study people's rating of their insurance gets dramatically lower among those who are in poorer health (i.e the people who actually have to deal with their insurance on account of having health issues)
