I’m tempted to think this, except it seems like tech bros have drunk their own Kool-Aid on AI a lot more than they did on phones or social media. Either that, or they got like 300% better at lying.

I voted for him in the primary and the general and spent months explaining to lots of people, including close relatives, why he wasn’t an antisemite and would be fine, and then this is basically the first thing he does after the election? Really hoping it gets better from here.

I saw that in the Jewish press. I don’t think it got very much attention in the general press. Mamdani made a mistake and should have walked it all the way back to as many people as he could have ASAP. Best-case scenario is that he learned something here.
