I never said you can't. Just pointed out that I believe the comparison isn't rooted in fact.

See the attached statement from President Obama as an example of what I think is a more appropriate comment from someone with political disagreements.
Although Dick Cheney and I represented very different political traditions, I respected his life-long devotion to public service and his deep love of country. Michelle and I extend our deepest condolences to his family.
