A different walk today heading north of the village but still in the parish was very interesting. With a calling Spotted Flycatcher, a purring Turtle Dove and a very brief view of a warbler disappearing into a patch of brambles never to be seen again
that looked a lot like a Gropper #suffolkbirding

Today's second visit to my BTO Heathland Birds survey square was another expected blank for Woodlark but on my walk there found a Ring Ouzel which was a village/patch tick #suffolkbirding

This mornings walk around the village felt very spring like in the sunshine, recorded 40 species on birdtrack.bsky.social the highlight was this drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker #suffolkbirding
