This tiny fantasy sabre has what I like to call the streaky bacon grind! It looks impractical but it’s actually found in historical examples and essentially lengthens the cutting edge without lengthening the blade itself- a similar principle to a flamberge blade

So... I worked with @bemusedbehemoth.bsky.social a while back for this kobold and they did incredible work.

I really love this little guy, and will treasure this design which came out even better than I originally imagined.

Been chipping away at this in my free time, sort of a redo of a comm from a while back; i loved the character design and always felt I didn't quite do it justice in the original, so I wanted to use the character for style tests and this is how she turned out, think I'm pretty happy with it :')

She is dressed primarily in dark blues and golds, with lots of jewelry and trim, and also wears lighter blue sheer flowing cloth over her dress. Her hair is long, wavy, and flowing, going from dark indigo at the top to a pastel yellowish-pink at the ends in a gradient. She is holding a large sword with a pale gold blade etched with lighter designs I the middle, with a long gold hilt decorated with blue roses and purple thorns at the guard. The background is an art nouveau-style graphic mostly consisting of flowing linework and celestial iconography.

Princess cake sharks! 🌹🦈 #art
