I was an indie kid in the 90s. Like, I literally ran a label out of the basement with two friends. Revolver was never far from my stereo.

As someone who is this guy's age I can tell you 100% that if you were into Pixies, Nirvana, 120 Minutes stuff, etc. but didn't like the Beatles you had to have worked hard to contort yourself into that special little box.
