'Twas the night before #GivingTuesday. So here's our shortlist: fund abortion, give local, and give direct.

Our roots in mutual aid values push us to divest from models of support that exploit working class people. Here are some ways we reduce harm as a nonprofit: All grassroots donations fund abortion care. Staff salaries, benefits, & admin costs are covered by grants that can't fund abortion directly. AFO does not determine client eligibility by income, “merit,” or other tactics to separate deserving & undeserving folks. AFO refuses to deviate from Reproductive Justice values to be more palatable. Fund abortion. Yes, we’re biased. Many funds are deeply struggling to the constant flood of abortion seekers. You can find your nearest abortion fund at abortionfunds.org. Give to local collectives & organizers. This includes folks serving meals, passing out essential winter gear, safer use & safer sex supplies, menstrual products, etc. Give directly where possible, like giving cash to an unhoused neighbor, which values their autonomy & dignity.
