Hearing the Dragon Age Veilguard cast speak so passionately about their voice and mocap work and general excitement over joining the franchise is so bittersweet. Makes me sad we missed out on so many interviews because of the strike, but also sad that we're not getting a sequel with them returning 😔

it is an underrated miracle of the 21st century that we really did massively, massively reduce bullying in schools
My experience as well. So far we're 2-for-2 on kids having a largely bullying/abuse-free middle school experience. Not without bumpy spots of course, but light years away from what I endured.
My hot take: the anti-bullying stuff has really worked, which is why conservatives are pushing back at it.

for what it’s worth I got roped into helping out with my sixth grader’s extracurricular thing so I’ve had more recent contact with middle schoolers who aren’t mine than I usually do, and biased sample/biased reviewer/etc but my verdict is that the kids are all right

The thing Democrats are consistently afraid of, I think, is that they will oppose a war and then the USA will win an easy decisive victory and anyone who opposed the war will look like unpatriotic losers afterwards. Except the only time this ever happened was 1991 and the GOP got btfo in 1992 anyway
what’s kind of ridiculous about this too is that this intervention polls about as well as cuts to social security. i think honestly a lot of elite dems are neutral to positive about the idea
damn if only we had a national democratic party that could help mobilize these instead of a loose assemblage of leftwing groups that are mostly volunteer based and therefor prone to entryism from any fringe actor with money
