As an editor and proofreader, I tend to pick up errors or poorly written sentences anywhere and everywhere, usually without trying. It can be a bit annoying sometimes. And then you read a sentence that is apparently made up of English words, and yet, you have no idea what is being said.

I'm an editor for largely amateur writers, and so I do more than edit. I fix badly written sentences and improve the flow. You can usually turn poorly written material into quite acceptable output. And then there are also the 'pearls' of writing that really just need a proper edit, grammar check etc

Most people drive, and most people (in a household) own a car. Your preferences are yours, but I cant think of many that would prefer to take their children out in rain and snow by choice.

Care to support that with facts? and it isn't the number of people but the number of HOUSEHOLDS. Yes, the stats that use the number of people is specifically obsfucating the facts. and the town is built for cars because all that food and product you have is delivered by... cars/trucks.

try cycling into town with a family of small children or doing shopping on a bike. I dont mind bike lanes or cyclists, but the idea that a bike is a complete substitute for a car is ridiculous.
