Age distribution for the last 3 census years.

I find this fascinating because
1. Our olds are the fastest growing segment of the population
2. Our olds distribution still decreases at the same rate, just later.

I look at nytimes.com "above the fold" often to see the gist of their editorial mindset. Always interesting to see what floats to the top on the right side (culture?).

NYTimes:
"President Trump weighed in on the race for New York City mayor on the eve of Election Day, offering a full-throated endorsement of former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo in his uphill battle to defeat Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee.

I keep seeing the word “dominate” being used in surprising ways.

If you make up less than half of the collective, is that really dominating the collective? Largest faction, yes. But “dominate”?

They say Northampton residents are progressive, but not in transportation policy. They also don't seem to know that Northampton is the end point between both a N/S rail trail to New Haven and an E/W trail to Boston.

The project here is a MassDOT funded project to make Main St safer for everyone.

Boston Globe is making this something it isn't. Commercial/Industrial and Personal Property was given a reprieve after Covid. Now the Residential/CIP split is closer to what it was during all of the 2010s.

I spend way too much time thinking about how car-centric road design hollowed out our neighborhoods by prioritizing throughput over livability — and how reclaiming that space is so hard thanks to layers of engineering study requirements.

Also a nice little add is the disappearing of cars from roads.
