Friday night found photo for everyone is this snap of a young girl on her bicycle with her younger brother, I'm guessing, looking on enviously/resentfully. 1940s maybe?

The launch of Scrapbook: From the Archives of Dave Barber will take place on Sun. Sept. 28 at 7pm at the Dave Barber Cinematheque during the 50th anniversary celebrations for the Winnipeg Film Group. Dave was the legendary programmer for the WFG Cinematheque who sadly passed away in 2021. 1/4

The Windsor Plywood mascot either looks like he's off to kill a bunch of other planks or engage in some serious self-harm.

I like to think I coulda bought this LP and passed it off as the latest Kompakt release.

Whenever I am at Gare Centrale in Montréal, I like to visit this Electroniques sign that has been there for at least 30 years.

a 1970s booklet from Agriculture Canada titled Easy on the Budget: Main Dishes and Desserts. The cover is yellow and includes the Agriculture Canada wordmark at the bottom. The top half of the cover features the title of the publication - all in lower case - and illustrations of the sun, a pie and cheese, a pot of beans, a carrot and apple, and egg, and a bowl of ice cream. This is three colour printing (?) so everything is either yellow, white, red, or orange.

Tucked away in a 1973 issue of Cinema Canada is this neat little bit of news about Martha Coolidge.
Text reads "NFB chairman and Canadian Govern-ment Film Commissioner, Sydney Newman presented the John Grierson Award to Martha Coolidge, 27, a grad-uate from New York university who received the trophy for her film on drug addiction called "David Off and On". Miss Coolidge originally worked for CFCF-TV in Montreal."
