On this Spurs day in 1995...we extend our unbeaten league run to 8 games and its 4 games without conceding a goal with this low-drama 1-0 win.

This was the last time we'd play QPR until 2011. With Francis now in our dugout and Ferdinand sold they were a diminishing force.

Stewart and Lineker score the goals in this 2-1 win v Everton - the second a lovely Stewart finish from a sweeping move.

Everton had been a menace to us through the 80s but we went 20 years (1986 - 2006) without a home defeat.

A late Gary Lineker goals gives us a point in this 6-goal thriller v Sunderland.

We just about record a 2-1 win over Notts County as the newly promoted side return to WHL 8 months after our FA Cup QF.
Mabbutt reminded us of his earlier years as a goalscoring midfielder with this well struck winner.

Steffen Iversen makes his much anticipated debut. He didn't score in this 2-1 win at Coventry but was involved in the winning goal.

How excited were you at the time for Iversen? As Gerry Francis told me we'd tracked him for a long time!

Going just outside my usual date range to bring some good memories of this day...as Robbie Keane scores a hat-trick and Stephane Dalmat scores a wonder goal in this entertaining 5-2 win over Wolves.
The 2003/4 season was even more 90s chaos than most of the 90s to be fair!

Despite playing against 10-men for the whole second half we can't score against a resolute West Ham defence in this frustrating 0-0 draw.

We all flocked to WHL to see how our new manager Christian Gross would fare in his first home game as we looked to end the now 8-season Chelsea hoodoo.
If you only watched until HT you'd never believe how it ended 😦

It's another home defeat to Chelsea (3 in 4 since they returned to the top flight). This time all the goals are scored in the final 15 minutes. I'm sure I speak for all of us for wanting to petition for our goal to be credited to Justin Edinburgh🤔

I've got a potential interview lined up with Jason Dozzell for Season 2 of @spursnostalgiapod.bsky.social. What questions would you like me to ask him? Do you have any specific memories of his time at Spurs?
I'm just reading his book. He's very honest about some of his challenges.

Paul Allen scores a wonderful goal in this 2-1 win at Coventry in the League Cup. All League Cup games, especially, under the lights on a midweek felt really special events. This was one of many I spent listening to on Capital Gold.

A great afternoon as we beat high-flying Newcastle 4-2 at WHL with Teddy returning to form with a hat-trick.

It's 1996. We'd suffered an horrendous week with heartbreaking late defeat at Arsenal, a humiliating 6-1 loss at Bolton in the cup and then even our own turf transpired against us and Ian Walker in this home game against Liverpool live on Sky 😱

An electric night under the lights at WHL on this day in 1998 as we beat Man Utd 3-1 to reach the League Cup SF.

It may not have been a full strength Man U side but we had to be at our most best with Ginola inspired:

The day begins with the Spurs bus being impounded and the team arriving late to Stamford Bridge! At least the players could park their cars behind the goal! The chaos continued with a 3-2 defeat and a Lineker pen miss thus starting our Chelsea jinx

That’s right. Palacios was a really significant addition.

After the initial bounce we still struggled - the Bent miss (‘my missus would have scored it’) in Portsmouth game (1-1) left us in a precarious position by mid Jan.
