The supporting cast isn't fun to hang out with and the story is scaffolding around an excuse to run around some islands. Either way, I appreciate rgg. I hope they're still having fun making these. They're still great to play

Something about the game is off. Textures aliased constantly on PC, the lighting is bad, the title screen music had me reaching for mute constantly. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth

YAKUZA: LIKE A PIRATE (2025)

this rgg title is as fun as the story hurts me, and the story is about babysitting milquetoast child, an alcoholic uncle named Bass Pro Shop, purple shirt, and a tiger as they haggle for the percentage of the lost treasure of Whatever they'll get to take home.

"you're too old man, your time is past" right before the 200th time majima throws 4 guys in the air and devil may cry combos down 8 bars of health in 15 seconds

It is still a shame that Yakuza 8 had 2 stories, flubbed one of them real bad, and hoisted its theme of Let People Be Bad Forever all over gaiden pirate

This story is doing the same "forgive people even though they're actively stabbing you and killing you" schtick as Yakuza 8

Xenoblade has great music and I love running around the little worlds, but playing it is as stretched out as a see-through wad of gum

I have no idea if xenoblade x looks good. All I know is that xenoblade 2 looks like someone spit vasoline in my eyes, and 3 doesn't fair much better. Pretty disinterested in xenoblade at this point

halo had it right. master chief would look goofy on a motorcycle and so does samus. they are not kamen rider cool.

CICONIA 1: FOR YOU, THE REPLACEABLE ONES (2019)

It's "just Gundam 00" long enough for the setting to be established. Then it's a beautifully Orwellian interpretation of more Christian symbolism. If there was ever one to go on an indefinite hiatus, this gives the most to think on.

some things do just take a long time to change your whole life

botw's world feels overly fanserviced and exploring the world sends me into nihilistic spirals. cf totk, where you sky dive trampoline around gary's mod hyrule and if the story makes you feel anything after botw, count yourself lucky.

these videos get tons of views. i disagree with them, but they're not upsetting. they're not particularly thought out for feature length rants. "botw had a well thought out story" is the core delusion that these guys are all reckoning with.
