Train arrives in plenty of time, due to depart at 1900, gets the right away from signaller at 1900, leaves at... 1904. This is the sort of casual tardiness that the industry needs to clamp down on, it is endemic

I am so skeptical of all train technologies that don't involve electrification of lines, like: power is best used fresh!
Of course I will excuse lines that see too little traffic, and therefore bymodal trains, but all other solutions look subpar to me.

All the people dunking on Mercedes Benz for having Teams installed on a car... you do realise that functionality will be disabled while driving right? I mean Teslas have YouTube, but that doesn't mean you can watch Hot Ones on the autobahn

Wowww... GWR staff at Cheltenham Spa misdirected pax trying to get to Gloucester onto my 80 mins late and rising Cross Country service, which is not stopping at Gloucester. They are now going to have to change at Bristol Temple Meads. A 10 min journey is now going to be a couple of hours. GWR […]

Had a great time today speaking and listening at the PWI electrification conference in Cardiff. Lots of energetic discussion on discontinuous electrification, heritage considerations, upgrade of existing electrification and the role of machine learning and automation (don't call it AI!)
