I'm in the UK!
Cat & nature lover. Truth seeker, not scaremonger. Not a fan of Tories, nor of racism, Brexit & right wing ideology. Pragmatic..this is the real world (sadly).
I was bigly disappointed in Corbyn as Labour leader. This sort of fannying around lost him 2 GEs, & he seems to have learned nothing.
As for Sultana, she should find a nice warm scone & bury herself in it.

The budget was just your average budget, in spite of media speculation & shit stirring. Some will hate it, others will welcome it, like every budget before it.
Someone somewhere really wants this Labour govt to fall. And the media thrives on controversy & clickbait.

Beth Rigby won't even have read it. She just loves a u turn.

It makes little difference really. If an employer wants rid they'll find a way, & most employers take staff on under a 6 month probation period anyway. Feels like a workable compromise.

I don't think he actually listens to replies, just moved on to next accusation.
So typical of modern media,& in particular Chris Mason, that they'd rather ask why it wasn't done sooner than simply report it has been.

It's to replace the money not gained in fuel revenue etc from EVs. Now that buying electric is booming it's time to knock off the cheaper incentive.

Reminder: the £150 reduction is an average and different households will save more than this or less than this depending on energy usage, size etc.

The government explain how they work out the £150 in this news story, as well as some illustrative examples.

What does the Autumn Budget mean for your energy bills?
Billpayers to benefit from an average of £150 off the costs of energy bills.

Not you, him!
He makes these sweeping statements, with no details as to how his party could even begin to achieve them.

So what makes you think you can realistically change that overnight?

Neither of them is in a position to say they'll do it though. It's in the hands of 27 other countries, not a couple of pie in the sky UK opposition leaders.

Ed, you don't have a clue how to get us back into the EU. Stop pretending you do, or indeed that rejoining would solve all our problems overnight.

Then in Nov 2025, Chancellor Reeves froze them further from Apr 2028 to Apr 2031.

And it is only then when you call it out & call it wrong? Silence for over 4yrs, then complain about a decision on things 2.5yrs away!2/2

Immigration is not my main concern, but Farage & the press can't go on lying about govt failure to address this issue.
