what I'll say tho is that I understand policy changes can take a while to be finalized bc I'm sure there's a couple layers of legal and whatnot it needs to be confirmed with. However the policy they posted yesterday was the same as what I was emailed on 10/21 (after submitting my concern on 10/14)

thank you for addressing this publicly but this doesn't seem like it is enough. what this can be interpreted as is "we will wait for something to happen before enforcing anything." maybe this is fine for previous years but with the current political climate, it seems extremely reckless.

so much anxiety around mff i really hope they are able to ban tactical gear. if they allow it i think it's pretty much guaranteed some physical altercations will happen and. well let me be clear if you decide to dress up like that this year you do deserve that fist to your face however ...

yep ive been worried about this since ICE was sent to Chicago. About a month ago I contacted MFF about this and was told no changes were being made but at that time ICE wasn't really hanging around Rosemont. With sightings of ICE in Rosemont I think there's definitely a higher cause for concern...
