Wow! The MSCA Doctoral Network "Future leaders in ageing and digitalizing societies", has been invited to prepare a grant agreement with the European Research Executive Agency ! I am looking forward to welcome new PhD students to work with us at @oslomet.bsky.social.

Freedom of speech cannot be taken for granted these days with the threats for the extreme right. At Bebel platz nazis burned books in 1933. Thank you to Humboldt University of Berlin for inviting me to talk about youth transitions to employment.

So disturbing. Yet another step in the direction of an authoritarian regime in the US.

In December, Digit Co-Director @jackieo99.bsky.social, Digit Research Fellow Rachel Verdin, and Co-Director of the Digit research School @runehalvorsen.bsky.social led a two-day workshop at @SussexUBusiness discussing digital ecosystems and the transformation of work and welfare.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

The final trip of this year is heading to Sussex to work with the brilliant Rachel Verdin and Jacqueline O'Reilly discussing digital ecosystems in work and welfare in comparative perspectives at digit-research.org. Happy to see the research from the euroship-research.eu project coming together!

Among his many achievements Korpi is also former president of RC19 Poverty, Social Welfare and Social Policy of the International Sociological Association. He also invented the "Korpi rule" for how we still organize the paper presentations at the RC19 annual conferences.
