Day 3. The Film Noir that Made You a Fan

The muppet show is returning.
I repeat

THE MUPPET SHOW IS RETURNING.

Kermit was my first crush this is momentous.
If this little girl’s giggle, Kermit’s disgruntled face & the last 10 seconds of this don’t make your day better then I cannot account for you:

Train strikes, plane delays, sinkholes on the interstate. New Jersey, a state of constant motion, is stuck between stations. My essay of frustration:

Sinkholes open on Interstate 80, but why? Because the New Jersey past needs to remind the New Jersey present of what once was. My story: www.nytimes.com/2025/05/25/n...

Not only Superman but many comic characters are 'immigrants' - Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Constantine (DC); Sub-Mariner, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Black Panther, Wolverine (Marvel); many more.

But it never used to matter, and they were appropriated for American superhero teams anyway.

I saw this photo on the NYT, and was immediately reminded of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire. Girls in both were doomed. At Mystic, girls in cabins with vaulted ceilings could cling to the rafters, while girls in the flat ceiling cabins could only escape thru windows - which meant being washed away.
