So as a life-long D&D geek as well as a sci-fi/fantasy geek, I want to be excited about the last season of Stranger Things, but seriously, the choice of music for the trailer was horrible. Did the Duffers never watch Highlander? Did the meaning of the song escape them? #whowantstoliveforever

Fun fact. Not only did the Kundalini Equation come out the same year that The Last Dragon was released, but - as it was very pre-internet - I was unaware that Stephen Barnes was a person of color until much later when I was preparing for a convention he was attending.

Can confirm. We had a lovely discussion about the convention we were at (Romantic Times - Columbus) vs. something like GenCon over lunch when a couple of friends brought him with for lunch after a panel. One of the many excellent discussions that were had that weekend.
Anyway, if you see me at a convention, feel free to come up and say hello. The whole reason I'm there is to be seen and approachable; I'm not at the "can't walk the show floor lest he be mobbed" level of fame nor am I likely ever to be. And if I can't talk right then, I'll let you know. Politely!

Sunday is the day of rest and miracles. @twentysidedtavern.bsky.social did something I couldn't do in 37 years. My wife asked to pick up her own players handbook and dice set so she can start playing D&D. It's a 20 sided miracle!
