Ugh, those are the worst. Whenever dreams involve nice folks in my life being absolute assholes, for whatever dream-reason, there's also a faint but annoying lingering sense of wrongness for a few minutes upon waking up, too. I'd rather take a classic crappy nightmare over that, honestly, haha.

Yeah, there really isn't, is there? "Great-sibling" is awkward, but technically kind-of works the way a grandparent's sibling is a great-uncle/aunt, I guess? It sounds awkwardly Eldritch, though, haha.

Obviously, I felt pretty fucking unsafe. But it's also kind-of neat that it in Florida of all places, a state now notorious for being shitty for trans folks, it's the first real incident I've had since coming out about a year and a half ago. Most folks have been great. It's a super comforting ratio.

I had my first rough encounter with transphobes in the wild yesterday; four macho guys outside of a little Cuban bakery. Got a mix of hostile jeers and laughs from all of them, and one of them called me a puto, which is more-or-less "faggot" in Spanish (technically the masculine word for whore).

My favorite part of Star Wars right now? Visions! Because all of the studios can just run with Star Wars as they see it and make whatever they hell they want with hardly any oversight. It's awesome, and I wish that type of canon-doesn't-matter approach was more broadly embraced by big franchises.

This is why I'm so tired of Star Wars, these days. It used to feel so vast. But now? The Book of Boba Fett wasn't allowed to be its own show, it had to become The Mandalorian 2.5 in the end, and Mando had to hype up Ahsoka, because everything has to tie into everything, MCU style. It's so dull.
