Fundamentally i read comics (and i'm sorry for that) so i'm very used to taking a character for myself with both hands and then displaying open and enthusiastic hostility to the writers, artists, fans, and parent company. And honestly, i think mel fans should consider operating this way

When you have nonBlack writers and professionals working with Black characters, their biases always come through. And they're SO upset when their title doesn't shield them from criticism. Being behind a company account doesn't make you infallible. It just makes you a bigger idiot than other idiots

Honestly just because people are "professionals" in an industry doesn't absolve them of criticism. I think it actually means they deserve more of it. When you foster an environment that's hostile to Black fans, especially Black women and girls, that deserves to be called what it is.
