I have been experimenting to make CodeMirror collaborative. I transmit CodeMirror transactions as Croquet events. From here, it'd need to use CodeMirror's collab package to transform transactions, and show selections but the video shows the PoC.

I gave a demo and talk last Thursday. It is about a self-sustaining programming environment based on Functional Reactive Programming. In my mind, it is not a mere hand waving demo; the environment is capable of creating non-trivial size applications.

I gave a demo and talk last Thursday. It is about a self-sustaining programming environment based on Functional Reactive Programming. In my mind, it is not a mere hand waving demo; the environment is capable of creating non-trivial size applications.

What do you think how many programming languages are "in use", perhaps has more than one user and some useful things are written in?

I found it disturbing when something is wrong in a wrong way. Say, a documentation on a commercial software library is filled with hallucination. We old timers might say "it is hard to be wrong that way"; but now it is very easy to be wrong in many different ways.

I have been helping a local AI project, and the keep 4o movement sounds like a good reason to have your AI agent locally; not for better accuracy or inference ability but to have "your" AI.

Today, I added a "pin" feature to my infinite 2D zoomable and pannable canvas implementation. It maintains a window's visual position even when you pan and zoom. It seems like a simple feature, but it required careful work with CSS transforms.

The Croquet reflector has been open sourced. I finally gotten around fixing a few things so that now I have my own Croquet reflector and file server going. I think this is really good for wider adoption of the technology.

Just a few weeks ago ChatGPT was doing a decent job of fixing my LaTeX code, including JavaScript code samples in verbatim blocks. But today it messes up LaTeX and even breaks my JS code examples.
