This is my giant thread of things Trump has done that, if a Dem did them, the whole of DC would drop everything, launch inquiries, make it a household name (whatever)-gate, centrists would fold and scold, Dems would accept the bad faith narrative, etc. etc.

This but in energy sector
Creative destruction is part of progress. We no longer have telephone operators, but calls are now cheaper and faster.

This is why your utility isn’t adopting the cheapest form of energy. They prioritize shareholders over you, captive ratepayers.

This is fascinating. And a rebuttal to anyone who says that they just want a level playing field, devoid of subsidies in the energy industry. Start with the MASSIVE cross-subsidies from our healthcare system to the fossil industry - especially coal. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40691837/

I swear the “show less like this” command is flawed to the point of inversion. I see cats and weird fantasy art every time I get on here. And sorry, I don’t want to.

On a more positive note, it’s a gotdamn beautiful day in New Orleans.

Good reporting on the South Shore raid from South Side weekly here.

Confirms one thing I was told but didn't put in my own piece because I didn't have a second source and it seemed too insane: border agents segregated arrested residents by race

Find exercises you actually enjoy and make them a habit. Easier said than done - take your time and try different things til you find what works for you. Then once it’s habitual, you don’t have to motivate yourself anymore. It’s just automatic

Many important things in ur life are downstream of this

Free advice to new or soon-to-be grandparents. Your kids want HELP.

Words of encouragement are appreciated, but advice is rarely helpful. Stories can wait until downtime - not while the child actively needs care.

HELP or gtfo of the way.

Video playback on this app is atrocious. If it’s more than 20 seconds, you will not see the full video. It will arbitrarily stop and never restart. It’s worse than dial-up, which you could at least wait out.

I work in policy in a red state, and it pains me to say this is all spot on.
I genuinely think one thing that trips up folks on the left is that they can't imagine not sharing certain core values. Lemme explain. Here's an intuition pump:
