The Global Sumud Flotilla traveled for months to deliver food, water, and medicine into Gaza, only for the humanitarians on board to be detained and treated like criminals.

I call on the U.S. and Israel to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches Gaza and is safely distributed.

Deeply alarming but this isn't the first time our state has been threatened by Trump. I'm proud to be an Illinoisan and I'm tired of people, who don't know anything about Chicago or Illinois, spinning false narratives about our communities. We will not be bullied.
