I can't fix anything. I can keep existing as a trans person who cares about other people, even the ones that hate me. And make art. Even when it's just noticing that light is pretty and showing you.
This is punkin and it was on sale for $3.50 in the Halloween clearance

To fight melancholy, the child and I got up, put on full winter gear, went out and ate a salad together, and are now going to go look at Niagara Falls.

I think Face Off should have a secret 2nd film that is Nick Cage doing all of the John Travolta pretending to be Nick Cage scenes first, to show him. And visa versa.

We started the movies with Tokyo Drift. The kid said it's boring. I think it might be a perfect¹ movie.

¹a perfect movie achieves the filmmaker's vision regardless of objective quality

At its height, X-Men is just the L Word with the Phoenix.
Illyana loves Kitty, but Kitty loves Rachel. But Rachel is dating Betsy.

Disney+ needs to do X-Men as a bona fide soap opera.

So this is a silly little idea I'm having where I rate my bus journeys according to how well they go for me as a wheelchair user. It's been variable so far but tending alright? Hopefully it'll be interesting if nothing else!
Today's London bus journey -- 7/10
Loved the solidarity from the person with the buggy, zero quibbles about getting me into the wheelchair space, driver was super on side too. Less great was the person accidentally setting off the wheelchair bell, and then standing with their bag in my face.

I have once again put off the problem by just eating a mini sleeve of Ritz crackers at my desk and drinking water.
Lunch continues to be a cursed meal. I should eat, but I don't want to forage or shop and I don't want to pick something to eat, I just want to not be sick hungry by dinner (which is also my responsibility tonight 😓)

I am on page 5 of 7 of this call sheet (that normally I would not have to do but the person who does it is out for a while). I have a cute pinball date tomorrow. I can do this. I can do this. I can get to that date. My partners are coming over for Thanksgiving. I can get there.

Gift Guide: Bookish Gifts for Foodies and/or Oenophiles
Picks for Kids Pasta Girls by Taylor Tracy Hot-headed and energetic Romea Marino is starting ninth grade with a full plate. Between confusing social dynamics of high school and juggling extracurriculars, Ro can only find peace in the reliable comfort of her kitchen, where she’s able to follow in her dad’s culinary footsteps, whipping up Italian-fusion recipes. Thoughtful and reserved Julianna Cangelosi is dying to help in her family’s restaurant, which serves traditional Italian dishes.

I talk about her in my Black abolitionists of NYC walking tour and usually no one has heard of her but she was Rosa Parks on the bus 100 years before that incident.
In 1855 Elizabeth Jennings Graham brought a suit that initiated the desegregation of NYC transit. Raised by politically active parents (her was mother formerly enslaved, her entrepreneur father was awarded a patent in 1821) Ms. Graham was a teacher, organist, & kindergarten founder.

I've heard the horror stories of Planet Fitness billing.

....but....

There's one opening soon right near work AND they have a clearly articulated and welcoming gender policy.

And I've been wanting to do some masculinizing weight lifting.
