NYE in the ER always hurts my heart because we run traumas on people in the nicest clothes, whose evenings started with such excitement and promise. No one plans to be with us, but you can plan to avoid us:

*public transit
*ride share
*designated sober driver
*talk to your teens about their plans

This is appalling, though, sadly, not at all surprising.
Black women in America are more than twice as likely as white women to have a stillbirth. Getting physicians to take their concerns seriously is one reason for this disparity, they say: “If you’re a Black woman, you get dismissed.”

It was bittersweet watching the #LowerDecks finale. There are so many more stories to tell. I’m still hoping we can #SaveLowerDecks. Surely some streaming service could pick it up.
