And that's another one in the books! (Get it?) Check out my latest publication, "Intertwined", sitting pretty over at Red Coyote! I want to thank the editors for putting their trust in my little horror plant story. It's a privilege and an honor to see my work in print.

I've been wanting to read I Heard You Paint Houses for years and I was FINALLY able to find it on Libby this weekend. Finished it in 2 days and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Amazing book with some intriguing insight into mafia life.

These books had a stranglehold on third-fifth grade me. Was always on the lookout for new ones
Today's Classic Cover is Say Cheese and Die! by RL Stine. Tim Jacobus illustrated almost 100 iconic covers for the Goosebumps series. Fun fact: This art is the best thing I've ever seen.

At a panel I was on I was asked how it is that idiots tend to get ahead in politics despite them being idiots. Ms. Dorothy answered that question in the 40s:

Third Lantern Lit is one of the greatest organizations I've ever been involved with. Their readings, galas, and events introduced me to what my writing life could be like after graduation and led to me meeting so many wonderful people, something I'll be forever grateful for.
... led to our main event people may know us from: Get Lit. But as the attendance grew from a handful, the organization grew with it, and in December of 2022, we officially became a non-profit!

(This pic is the day we got the news we were officially a non-profit, but not the whole board!!!)

The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew White is a masterclass at starting off strong. Opened it up and somehow ended up at page 40 in what felt like seconds

Just read a story so sad I had to put it down and walk around a bit. You know how brutal a story has to be to make me EXERCISE?!

After months of working on nothing but my thesis, I thought it'd be a good idea to finally dive back into a fantasy world I've been toying with since high school.

I've been writing for 5 hours.

Send help.

I can't believe a story I wrote half a year ago for a prompt I couldn't even qualify for (too many words) has ended up being one of my favorite stories ever and the strongest point of my thesis. I can't wait to find this baby a home.
