Important people understand a part of the development of these projects is making sure the use case for the police is built in. We’re not getting ever more intrusive surveillance as a side effect of convenience but with the idea police departments etc will buy them for the purpose of surveillance.

As expanded upon in the replies: "don't cross the picket line" is a call for solidarity from other workers. It means don't be a scab.

If a union asks for a boycott, we boycott. Why wouldn't they want one? Strategy. Amazon will feel the effects of a labor action more if demand remains steady.

Buying from independent artists this season is an incredible thing to do, but please remember that we are not amazon. Most of the time it's just one of us and a label printer and some envelopes dropping stuff off at the local post office and crossing our fingers that it gets there.
