Dang - somehow I've gotten a hundred followers on here! Thanks so much y'all! As means of a reintroduction - I'm Wasatch, just a spaceflight fan who likes writing and occasionally making art. I also have a small spaceflight discord server, Frontier: discord.gg/5sWR9Tsm7j
I'm really impressed that Jared finally pulled it off and is back in the running as NASA admin. There are reasonable questions about how he'd be as an admin, but I think we can all agree, it's better than folding NASA into the department of transportation. 🙃

The fact that all I see scrolling the space feeds on bluesky is stuff like an ad referring to the Orion spacecraft as a "satellite" and depicting it with laser solar panels should tell you all you need to know about the space "community" on this website.

look you can hate musk for other reasons but this whole article is riddled with biased language, bad sources. incredibly bad hit piece right from the get go.

that dude Loverro mentioned 7 times in this piece is corrupt.

here's a point by point rebuttal by a former NASA guy.

Question for any space folks who have an idea - I'm working on a little project, and I'm trying to figure out what the actual exterior of Haven 1 will look like. Some renders depict it as a matte white, others as just steel. Any ideas?

Just finished reading Andy Weir's Artemis, crossing off another notable space book I hadn't read. I enjoyed it, was a nice fun thriller with some interesting fleshing out of the setting.
I was a bit disappointed to find that the reception of the story was mixed, or worse. Oh well, I liked it.
