Adding to the listen list!

I do remember feeling like a crazy person watching right wing and capitalist grifters push this narrative out. From the Koch family to The Great Barrington Declaration.

Especially how the media uncritically reported on it under the guise of being unbiased.
Love this latest Public Health is Dead episode from @DaniAtomicus with @juliadoubleday.bsky.social & @wanderingkayli.bsky.social

A perfect breakdown of how media manufactured consent for mass disability, death & the "vax and relax" Covid narrative

The looting of aid in Gaza by "humanitarian rights organisations-backed Hamas" was -of course- actually by Israel, because Israel lies, Western media just prints it, and now a year later the rectification is published after the Palestinians are dead already.

I cannot emphasise enough how much I hate stuff that turns pedestrian spaces into roads

Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

Scoop: The most popular apps in Australia right now are social media platforms not included in the teen ban (so far).

This comes as teens make videos recommending that they all migrate to these alternative platforms to get around the ban — something experts warned about.

Such a great episode of @techwontsave.us !

@ketanjoshi.co deep diving into the systemic issues that are really placing genAI and data centres at the centre of our current climate destruction trajectory.
REALLY chuffed to be invited to @parismarx.com's incredible @techwontsave.us pod to talk about not just the climate harms we face from an uncontrolled data centre expansion but the way companies enacting it seem to think they're cape-wearing climate superheroes -->>>

Waited to get the court docs before reporting on the high court challenge to the social media ban.

They reveal an injunction will be sought against esafety, the minister and the govt to stop enforcement. And one of the teens is turning 16 before the ban.

Politicians behind the teen social media ban have a surprising message: "expect problems".

They are setting expectations that there will be "lots of stories... about how this is a catastrophic failure of process and rollout" but still worthwhile.
