I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.

Speaker Johnson: Federal employees aren’t being paid. Nutrition cuts may cause children to go hungry. Millions are seeing their health premiums soar.

End the 6 week paid vacation you’ve taken. Join your Democratic colleagues and negotiate an end to this shutdown.

I don’t often agree with Elon Musk, but I fear that he may be right when he says, “AI and robots will replace all jobs.”

So what happens to workers who have no jobs and no income?

AI & robotics must benefit all of humanity, not just billionaires.

During the government shutdown, President Trump:

- Raised $250 million from billionaires for a ballroom
- Gave Qatar an Air Force facility in Idaho
- Doubled Argentina's bailout to $40 billion

What happened to America First?

This is what oligarchy looks like:

Trump gave corporate America a $920 billion tax break.

Now, corporations like Amazon, Meta, Apple, Google & Lockheed Martin are returning the favor by giving Trump $300 million for a fancy ballroom.

That’s a pretty good return on investment.

Big Tech oligarchs are coming for your job.

Jeff Bezos will be replacing 600,000 jobs at Amazon with robots. His vision: fully automate operations.

Amazon's not alone. That's the direction of every major corporation.

AI & robotics must benefit workers, not the top 1%.

After months of needless delay, the Trump administration has finally agreed to follow the law and forgive student loan debt for borrowers who have been waiting decades for relief.

This will be life changing for millions of working class Americans.

Mr. President. Stop breaking the law.

The shutdown does not give you the right to fire thousands of hard working federal employees.

Instead of giving huge tax breaks to your billionaire friends, show some respect for the struggling working families of our country.

No, Mr. Trump. We won't allow you to pay for tax breaks to billionaires by eliminating Head Start which provides early education to over 800,000 children and LIHEAP that keeps seniors and families warm in the winter.

Your budget proposal is morally obscene. It must be defeated.

The irony of the richest man in the world almost single-handedly destroying an agency designed to help the world’s poor, so that the U.S. federal budget has more room for another giant tax cut for the richest man in the world and his pals, should not be lost on anyone. [Cartoon by Mike Luckovich]

Hard to process the devastation I’ve witnessed in the last two days. Still in a state of shock for those who have lost so much in such a short period of time. #NoWords 💔
