When Biden gave the worst debate performance in history, my job as a neutral reporter was to write about it incessantly until he dropped out. When Trump gave the second worst debate performance in history, against Harris, my job was to lend credence to his claim that immigrants were eating pets.

I think right about now would be a good time for everyone to the left of Barack Obama to come out strongly against *any* form of torture and to promise to kill anyone and everyone who does it, on any side.
The conservative media star and prominent Trump supporter Megyn Kelly said she wanted our government to dismember people and have them bleed to death. This is how those ruling our country and those who support them think. Until they change their minds, they are bad and dangerous people, and we must
Megyn Kelly says that simply murdering the survivors of a strike on a Venezuelan fishing boat isn't enough. She would prefer that they be subjected to extended torture to heighten their pain and agony. Megyn has captured the essence of what it means to be MAGA.

Someone get me (genetic epidemiologist) & my husband (school psychologist) on a podcast bc our rants on these people are...fiery. We spent 5y in the bay around these folks and oh boy.

I'm also so sick of these puff pieces that avoid saying plainly what this actually is. Shoddy science for eugenics.

Another reason why it’s important not to obey illegal orders is because the people willing to give illegal orders will happily throw you under the bus for following them.

I wonder what % of FBI employees and the people employed by the Pentagon voted for Trump (if they voted)? Over/Under - I'm curious.

I would guess 70% of those who voted.

BREAKING NYT:

The Trump admin just fired eight immigration judges in New York City.

All the judges were dismissed from the immigration offices at 26 Federal Plaza — a building that houses the NYC headquarters of ICE and has become the epicenter of migrant arrests in the city.

I spent months talking to many, many people for this long post-mortem of the Inflation Reduction Act: What forces were responsible for creating it, and how could it be gutted so unceremoniously? What might come next?

No easy answers ofc but hopefully a bit of clarity

It was far too easy for Republicans to kill the Inflation Reduction Act. Where did those who crafted it go wrong?
