I was at a ⚾️ game earlier this season & had just put my order in at the concession stand when the 2 children working the grill & register STOPPED WORKING AND SANG ALONG for the National Anthem. I went full Curb Larry David and said my food better be free if their negligence resulted in a burnt dog
So I took my kids to a baseball game because I realized that I hadn’t yet? And that felt like incomplete cultural education?
It wasn’t bad, there were lots of snacks, but holy hell does the 7th inning God Bless America still blow

Something that women (and girl dads) can never understand is that when your son is born, it is a joyful but sad day. As a son of a boy dad, you realize one day this child you’re raising will kill you, but it also makes you think of your father’s own mortality that will end at your hands. It’s tough

I see posts like “Me, a 35 yr old straight man listening to Pink Pony Club” and it’s a vid with Napoleon Dynamite dancing or something. And I hope dudes born in 1945 who felt the same about Edge of Seventeen got to have this same type of happiness listening to music not written specifically for them
