Are those Pillsbury croissants (or I guess they call them “crescent rolls”)?
Karoline Leavitt's Thanksgiving spread. Please dissect.

BOSTON—Prematurely assuming he had reached the end of the 1977 rock masterpiece, local man Peter Verran, who thought Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” was over, was reportedly in for the thrill of his fucki...

Furiously posting in my Dockers from the kitchen of my multi-million dollar compound in suburban Texas while I watch my landscapers mow the putting green on my front lawn.

The kind of old-school multi-inning middle reliever they don’t really make any more, and I think a favourite of mine when I was at an age when you’d pick favourites pretty much at random.

I do not always, or even often agree with Jack Goldsmith—I think he’s what they mean by a rock-ribbed conservative, and I’m, uh, not—but he’s very smart and even more honourable, and operates in scrupulously good faith, so I have a lot of time for him. This is a finely honed blast of indignation.

It occurs to me a lot of people—not just in the military—are probably hoping for preemptive presidential pardons to the protect them from something like that, but it’s at least as likely that the guy will either forget about it or (funniest possible outcome) die in office before getting around to it
It may not happen soon, but Mitch Bradley should remember that he can be recalled to duty someday and court martialed for ordering murder.
Hegseth's not the only war criminal here. "The [USSOCOM] commander overseeing the operation from Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Adm. Frank M. 'Mitch' Bradley, told people on the secure conference call that the survivors were still legitimate targets... He ordered the second strike."

Some of us have been saying for a while that thinking you can control the politics of resentment is a mugs game. You reap what you sow, you don’t get to control it.
Danielle Smith: "I hope people today feel a lot more confident that Canada works than they did a couple of days ago."
UCP convention crowd: LOUD BOOS
Danielle Smith tried to sell her federal-Alberta energy deal to the UCP convention crowd: tepid applause.
She told them that this proved Canada can work well for Alberta’s interests: loud boos.

This ain’t a base that wants Smith to work with a Liberal PM on a better industrial carbon tax.

This is very bad, not because of its substantive errors, but because it misconceives of federal and provincial heads of power as somehow non-overlapping. The challenging thing about Canadian federalism is that both levels are, in some way, responsible for some aspect of most interesting issues.
People are still confused about this 🤦🏻‍♀️

God help me, I'm gonna actually defend "AI" a bit here: this stuff is like tracer dye revealing how corrupt and decrepit so many of our institutional processes already were long before this garbage came along.
"Runctitiononal features"? "Medical fymblal"? "1 Tol Line storee"? This gets worse the longer you look at it. But it's got to be good, because it was published in Nature Scientific Reports last week: www.nature.com/articles/s41... h/t @asa.tsbalans.se

Audience culture is the worst it's ever been, I swear to god. People forgot how to act. I'm at the theater, trying to enjoy my show, which I've paid GOOD MONEY for, and these two old assholes are in the balcony heckling the life out of the poor bear onstage. Not letting him finish a single joke.
