everything came out amazing, family arrived slightly early but that's okay, we sat down to eat at 3:06 (target of 3pm), BIL cleared the whole table while I did EVERY SINGLE DISH. NO dishes are left dirty, everyone was GREAT, I made my MIL happy by silently presenting her with sliced sweet onion>

I was a bookstore manager for years - this is accurate.
I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

FIRST BUTTERNUT SQUASH LASAGNE NIGHT OF THE YEAR 😍
Made T’s favorite meal tonight! Best thing about it is that I found the recipe while writing the Wangxian s*gar d*ddy AU, having LWJ make it for WWX their first date in. It is delicious. Always recommend.

Looking at various dessert options, and I unironically said, “we should make the hamantaschen for Christmas. More Jews at Christmas.”

#medical #tw okay, after sleeping for four hours yesterday afternoon and 10 hours last night, I am like 95% better on the vertigo front, which: THANK FUCKING GOD, that was a nightmare. I also had a boob ultrasound yesterday and there was no change from 6m ago, which was ALSO a relief.

anyone have experience with vertigo? I slept at a weird angle on Friday and I have been suffering ever since - only when I sit up after lying down, but it's bad.

I always intend to do my morning run when I'm visiting my in-laws, but it means running outside instead of on the treadmill, which is HARD, but I DID IT, from 7am to 7:50am and I am SUCH A HERO.

day off! I ran 5K, we changed the sheets on both beds, I cleaned out the car for our roadtrip tomorrow, took it to get the oil changed, filled it with gas, came home, did yoga, bathed the dog, made lunch, went for a (COLD) walk in the SNOW (?!?), and am on my 3rd load of laundry.

My therapist: "How are you doing with daylight savings ending?"

Me: "I love it. It's cozy and makes me want to wrap up in a blanket and drink tea on the couch. I think it's fun to leave work when it's dark. I love the change."

My therapist: "...you are the only person I have ever heard say this."

me, to L, yesterday, as well as last night, AND this morning: "I know we're off today, but I am NOT doing anything. I am NOT unpacking. I am NOT doing laundry. I am doing NOTHING."
