All peace prizes are made up but this one is especially made up.
It’s weird that news organizations like the BBC are covering this as if it’s a real thing with a real process behind it—and not clearly some nakedly invented “participation trophy” by a corrupt organization to curry favor with a corrupt and easily manipulated man-child. www.bbc.com/sport/footba...

I'm not going to pretend these are bad films (I don't even mind the Woody film) but this doesn't exactly scream "voracious cinephile with a near-encyclopedic knowledge of genre and world cinema" so much as "dad who watches a lot of TNT."

It's almost as if, charities for the wealthy are mostly used to further their own goals but not paying taxes...... almost....
Elon Musk’s charitable foundation grew larger than ever in 2024. But, for the fourth year in a row, the huge charity failed to give away the minimum amount required by law — and the donations it did make went largely to charities closely tied to Musk himself, who is the world's richest man.

I think about the experience that I had with my first computer like this too, and realize that there's no way that the computers we have now, will someday be used as 'charging' embedded computers. That just seems insane right now because what would they even be doing.
I have a little white brick I plug in to power my Mac. It has more computing power than my first computer. I played games and used visicalc and wrote programs on that computer. I’m just a little older than you.
