I think in part the higher education funding crisis and the LLM-teaching crisis actually strike at the same problem, which is that education doesn't work without a broad, society-wide sense that the *actual content* of education - not the credential - is valuable.

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric

If you are writing an opinion piece about higher education and the three example institutions you use are Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, please just throw your writing in the trash. You are not writing about higher ed, you are writing about a tiny elitist unrepresentative sliver of higher ed.
