Hey if you like something a journalist did PLEASE link to the work and don't just screenshot.

I know the image catches the eye but we would really like people to read our work where we publish it so we can, y'know, eat.

TRUMP: If you’re trafficking drugs to the U.S. via the Caribbean I will kill you.

ALSO TRUMP: If you’re doing time because you helped traffic 400 tons of cocaine to the U.S. via Honduras you get a “Full and Complete Pardon.”

The FBI spent a million dollars redacting powerful men's names from the Epstein files. The victims? Twenty-eight names in one document alone unredacted, exposed, hunted down by reporters in front of their children. Privacy, it seems, is reserved for those who can afford to return the favor.

I had to get a recovery job too. Grateful for the opportunity and the learning!
Home Depot was like my first job out of treatment that gave me structure and made me a hard worker after getting sober. Also I was completely miserable there and the only good thing about it was that it allowed me to get years working again under my belt to eventually get my career.

Ever wondered how Trump was able to get away with sexually abusing children❓

Just look at how he is the only President in history who has been able to verbally abuse women (particularly journalists) over and over again in front of the 🌍 , and the people around him haven’t stopped him.

That’s how.

Hors de combat personnel may not be intentionally targeted. Examples include persons parachuting from their disabled aircraft, shipwreck survivors, as well as the sick, wounded, detained, or otherwise disabled.

For those who don't know what hors de combat means: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hors_de...

In the laws of war, combatants are considered to be hors de combat (French: [ɔʁ də kɔ̃ba]; lit. 'out of combat'), and thus protected persons, when they are unable to participate in fighting.

Utter bullshit. This is not how it works. They meet the legal definition for being hors de combat in both international and non international armed conflict.

Never mind the fact that they aren’t even legally combatants regardless of whatever half baked executive order says.

It's not your fault you struggle to validate yourself. You're doing what you saw modeled & what the culture models every day: reflexive invalidation. Understanding validation not as a touchy feely luxury, but rather a nonnegotiable trauma recovery tool, takes time & practice.

In realistic trauma recovery it matters we meet our reflexive avoidance w/ compassion & validation, even as we strategize how to do the thing anyway.

Calling ourselves "stupid" or "weak" for instinctively wanting to avoid a thing will only shut us down & deepen our reluctance.

Given the bullshit that’s about to go down with insurance here in the US, thank you ProPublica for the info.
Few patients appeal a health insurance denial, but a little-known process that requires insurers and plans to seek an independent opinion can force insurers to pay for what can be lifesaving treatment.

Here’s what experts say you need to know.
This Little-Known Appeal Could Force Your Insurer to Pay for Lifesaving Care. Here’s How to File It.
When a health insurer refuses to pay for your treatment, you may have the right to have the denial reviewed — and potentially overturned — by an independent provider. Here are six steps experts sugges...

Thankful for family and friends. Especially thankful for our free press, without which we are truly screwed. “The media” isn’t perfect but it is crucial, and in Chicago this fall, it’s been essential. Thank you to everyone who puts on their socks every morning and asks important questions.

Griffin states that it would have been v. hard to know his true age. (But 15?)
