Really enjoyed a clandestine meeting in an undisclosed trailer park where our group gave food to around 250 undocumented neighbors, the true working poor.

I assume all you white people still had a nice Thanksgiving?

P.S. We had to do it in secret because you’re super mean to hungry people.

For the 100th time, immigrants, especially the undocumented folk are NOT using your white person societal benefits.

You clutch those, like your pearls.
I assume she means everyone who isn’t white.

Highly troubled by DHS use of the Nazi far right term #remigration
The history of this involved people dying in cattle cars, concentration camps, and gas chambers.

We have to continue to protect our neighbors. #immigrants
An official government account using the word “remigration” is not normal. It’s an imported term from European far-right movements that refers to mass expulsion. Democracies do not use population-purification language. #holdfast #SteadyState

Franklin Roosevelt knew what he was talking about.
"True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.”

Thank you, Mark Kelly.
Mark Kelly: "This president, when he says things like 'third world countries,' what is he really saying? I think what he's saying is he doesn't want brown people in our country. And that's disturbing. It's un-American."

Hang on, a pause is by definition temporary. Permanent is the opposite of temporary. “Permanent pause” is an oxymoron, a contradiction. If you want to be president of the US, don’t you think you should learn English, @realDonaldTrump ?

Does anyone else hate the word “patriots” as it is used in politics? It dosen’t apply to anybody or really anything I ever think about.

I love this phrase so much-I have it embroidered and framed in my home.
The era we are living in offers too many illustrations of greed, narcissism, and hatefulness. But I still believe we can recommit ourselves to serving the common good of all Americans. [Artwork by Jennifer Bloomer]

An immigration statute passed by Congress in 1986 allows a spouse who entered the country lawfully to be eligible for a green card through marriage even if the person’s visa has expired.

My friends are safe here in the USA. They are legal, they have papers, they have jobs. They pay taxes. There is nothing in Haiti for them. Nothing. It is so cruel.

God Almighty! There is not one safe thing about Haiti. The PAP airport is closed. Cap Haitien is bursting at the seams., already.
None of this makes sense.

It’s just a disorganized violent sweep of communities-a failed dragnet.

Having it happen in my community last week was dreadful.

Support your immigrant neighbors.

This is not just a current political issue. Charging & punishing these particular perpetrators is vital to keeping the fight against the ongoing abuse & killing of women & children by men in the spotlight. "Me Too" was only a start.

Dear ICE,

Thanks for exhausting my church’s pastoral team-forcing them to run to schools and ICE sightings all over town during the week.

We are already co-running a 7 day a week overnite shelter for the unhoused. It’s at capacity because it’s cold out.

Where is your compassion?

This is the first time ICE has been sent to a state with a Trump backed Republican governor. Six percent of the population of New Orleans are immigrants.
New Orleans, LA had a lot more warning to prepare for ICE than Charlotte, NC & the Triangle.
