I just set up a website using @godaddy.com, it was fairly easy to use and they transferred my domain instantly and without fuss. But I'm disappointed the options to add social media links don't include @bsky.app. I told their chatbot they need to fix it... The site's here anyway... twcentral.co.uk

Interesting morning at the UK Global Screen Fund summit, hearing about the different ways of applying the funding to develop and distribute film, TV and gaming projects. The UKGSF would like to see more funding emerge from next year's Government Spending Review and that would certainly be welcome

Good sessions at @focus2024x3.bsky.social @focus2024.bsky.social yesterday, on: UK Global Screen Fund; filming internationally; and how online content creators/filmmakers can learn from each other (the former can share audience/techniques but retaining authenticity and artistic merit in film is key)

Well done to Stephen Kinnock MP and UK Hospitality, both of whom won awards at last night's SME4Labour gala dinner, despite being on Table 13... I was also lucky enough to be on that table as a guest of UKH and saw UKH CEO Kate NIcholls speak, as well as DBT Secretary of State Jonathan Reynolds MP.

A fun Monday lunchtime spent with @s4c.bsky.social to see highlights of the new series of 'Llond Bol O Sbaen', made by @cwmnida.bsky.social and featuring Chris 'Flamemaster' Roberts' culinary travels in Spain. Great food and wine and good to hear from S4C's Geraint Evans and Chris himself.

I was totally captured by the first 'The Fifth Floor' podcast from @waterslee.bsky.social - Lee's experience as a former minister both allows him to talk from a position of real knowledge, plus elicit some very candid interviews from a range of former ministers and advisers. Well worth a listen. 👍

Out and about again today, at the Voice of the Listener & Viewer conference in London, I enjoyed Channel 5 President Sarah Rose describing how C5 is unique to the overall Paramount business and in particular her comparing C5 to a 'glamping site' in a landscaped garden! deadline.com/2024/11/para...

I doubt this stat surprises many people, so good for @unesconow.bsky.social for working on it. And we can all help by, when possible, bringing inaccuracies to the creators' attention - I sometimes (very politely!) do this, even if it doesn't affect a client advanced-television.com/2024/11/27/s...

A very enjoyable Creative Industries Council Parliamentary reception yesterday. Speeches from Baroness Bonham-Carter, DCMS Minister @chrisbryant1962.bsky.social (pictured), Peter Bazalgette, Amazon Prime Video UK's Chris Bird, and great music from the band Baby Said. Many thanks to all involved!
