(She didn’t call any synagogues. I am not worried about if she does, because I have already seen what happens when a non-Jewish couple with a baby approached my synagogue asking for information about nearby shelters: my rabbi got them groceries and a hotel room.

So, just to be clear, in addition to sending queer people out into the cold to starve or freeze to death, the SA also:
- provides food services for ICE
- provides correctional services to the carceral system
- union busts
They’re almost comedically evil.

The apartment building my Grandparents were living in burned down when my mother was a baby. The Salvation Army assisted the other tenants with emergency housing. They wouldn't help my Mom's family because they were Jewish.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

As we head toward the holiday season, I'd like to remind everyone that jokes are optional at family gatherings. A family can have a perfectly lovely gathering in which no one teases any other member of the family.

I think there’s a preference difference here in which no one’s necessarily wrong.
