More of this, please, and more than this.
I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.
Last demo of an abortive Spooky Week. At least I got some stuff done this week...
In about fifteen minutes, the Demo Dive will be running through the demo of Before They Catch Us, a spooky text-based adventure game of the Black Tabby school by ANTertainment. Just this involves more mushrooms. Come check it out! www.twitch.tv/ceebee514

But if we stopped buying "a small treat", we'd kill the economy, or at least several industries, and STILL BE UNABLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET. That's aside from the fact that everyone deserves something nice now and then. Fuck's sake.
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”

DATV wasn't what a lot of people wanted. It was, however, the game I needed. I still love it. Probably always will.
Joshua, who reviewed Dragon Age: The Veilguard a year ago and awarded it a 10/10, reflects on the game, his score, and what the game and series means to him. bit.ly/4ns5fpV
Is the US *trying* to become a plague pit? Because THIS IS HOW YOU BECOME A PLAGUE PIT. (And as a friend of mine says, this is the FL where DISNEY is. Where the little kids want to go. What the FUCK?!?)
FL is moving forward w/ plan to end all childhood vaccine mandates. Starting with hepatitis B, chickenpox, and the bacteria causing meningitis and pneumonia. Then next year GOP FL legislature is expected to revisit 1977 law re: whooping cough, measles, polio, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and tetanus.

REV. BLACK (who was shot in the head with a pepper ball): “If this is what they’re doing to pastors, journalists, teachers, mothers, and the elderly gathered to sing and pray outside ICE facilities… what might they be doing to our neighbors who are behind those walls?”
Spooky Week may have been cancelled but I'm going to at least do something for Halloween!
In about 25 minutes or so, I'm bringing back the Demo Dive! Spooky Week kind of became Spooky Day due to internet issues, but I'm still trying. First one isn't so spooky, though - cute puzzle-ish game called Design and Conjure by Tiny Kiwi Games!. Come check it out! www.twitch.tv/ceebee514

Yeah, I think some of the Guardian reviewers are unbearably pretentious and are determined to reveal how intellectual and above fun they are. I haven't paid any mind to their reviews since the frankly unprofessional SH2 remake review: www.theguardian.com/games/2024/o...
Silent Hill 2 review – psychological horror remake leaves you lost in the fog
This remake of the 2001 hit is frustratingly slow, long and filled with one-dimensional characters

Okay, technically Massive, but they're a Ubi subsidiary, so I'm still blaming the jackass.
I remember when EA tried to rebrand loot boxes as "surprise mechanics". And now Ubisoft is trying to rebrand layoffs as "voluntary career transition programmes". Voluntary for *whom*, you baguette-eating sack of shit?!?
Oh dear. I was originally thinking "Dragonmeet is a small con and wouldn't pull this" but Dragonmeet's now in the Excel Centre so maybe not so small anymore, so... Gods, this is like when Nanowrimo *advocated* the use of AI because sponsorships. Blegh.
UKGE official socials deleting/hiding comments calling out their support for games that use AI is not a good look… yikes

The "hard-men" of Gondor were getting their shit kicked in until they were rescued by foreigners and a girl.

The Shire was doing fine until they let a fascist demagogue ("Sharkey" aka Saruman) take over, close the gates, impose a bunch of thug-enforced rules, and despoil nature for profit.
It's a pretty nasty day, so @vaspider.gay may have an answer; let's hear @miloedwards.bsky.social tell us what fucking WHIPS about Dunkirk again. In case you need a smile.
*waves from another part of London* Wish I was going, but no. Good luck; have fun!
So apparently when I have a week off to recover from burnout, I ... do more work.
I may be off Twitch because of technical issues, but I'm still clearing that demo list! Reviews to be found on my Ko-Fi page, and the VOD will be on YouTube soon! No paywalls, all free to access (but coffee is always welcome). ko-fi.com/post/Demo-Di...

I seriously doubt it's an actual AI Overview - mostly because it's 100% correct. (Source: I worked in diagnostic imaging for years.)
Do you ever have the thing where you can afford a takeaway and you crave a takeaway but you just don't want to order one? Because I am having it now and it's annoying; please send help.
I don't know what it says about me that I spend my week off work doing more work - just different work. Friend of mine says it's because I am a Creator, capital C audible. I think it's understimulation being a real issue for me. I guess both can be true.
Spent over 24 hours trying to find the issue that causes my streams to go to "Network Error" despite VOD still saving. Took until today to actually try testing broadband speed and getting, "Oh dear, this isn't good. You need to book an engineer". So much for a week of streaming demos...
Depends what you're asking. For new products, try Dark Heart London - they've got a good range of brands and products and it's all cruelty-free (plus you have to love a shop that sells a "Hello Clitty" shaving soap bar). And there's tutorials everywhere on YouTube. Have fun!
Looooong day. I will sleep well tonight. Productive, though.
Here's the write-up of everything I got done on the first day of Spooky Week! One game I really want, a couple that just didn't do it for me, a need to find a new TGIF game, and solving a technical issue. Check it out (all free to access on my Ko-Fi). ko-fi.com/post/Demo-Di...

For no particular reason I’m thinking about game studios who fire their entire narrative team after six years of development because their CEO is a delusional malignant narcissist who is all-in on AI.

I wish them all the luck they deserve.
Any of y'all who like Warhammer and really awesome music, check this out. There's still like two weeks left on the Kickstarter, which has already smashed its goals but could do more. So if you like this, and want a copy no one can take away from you, have a look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeIP...
