I would feel safer about Canada’s natural future if we had First Nations deeply involved with all resource management.

The Amazon model is all about using technology and corporate power to beat down the pay and rights of workers, whether in warehousing, delivery, and even air freight. At what point will legislators finally move in to stop its assault on working people?

The Pathways Alliance project would inevitably be a massive boondoggle if it ever gets built. It’s only purpose is to greenwash the oil industry and deceive Canadians into thinking we can be a clean petrostate.
Carney's latest pipedream explained
Prime Minister Mark Carney wants to see the Pathways Alliance project built in exchange for a new oil pipeline to the BC coast — a risky bet on the country’s economic future.

What the Cowichan decision recognises is - private property doesn’t erase Aboriginal title... BC has been breaking the law for a long ass time."

feel like this says something about our current moment: in an office lunchroom with a dedicated, filtered, insta-hot water tap, today there are no less than 4 kettles people have brought in to boil their own water.

There is no political, economic or environmental case for even pretending to consider Northern Gateway pipeline.
Mark Carney has given a huge with to Danielle Smith while reviving the environmental conflicts of Stephen Harper.
This is a huge mistake.

It's a bit much to listen to Jason Kenney talk about how running tankers along the BC coast is "worth the risk" when all of the benefits flow to Alberta and Big Oil, and all of the risk lands in BC. Except for the CERTAINTY of increased global warming, which affects all of us.
